tete-a-tete with Alana Munro

I'll admit here that I have been kind of running lately. Were any of you here you would hear the pitter-patter of my feet often. lol :D It's been a crazy time. Hectic. I do not get to update my blog as often as I would like to. I got these answers way back but couldn't put them up. Apologies.

So, this time we have our very own 'Alana Munro'. :) Here's is what she had to say.

ALANA MUNRO

Okay, this wonderful woman needs no introduction. Everybody knows her! The community 'Support-A-Writer' is her brainchild. She's the author of the acclaimed book 'Women Behaving Badly'. She's the most supportive person that you'll find. Sweet in her own way. I think she does know a thing or two about time-management. No matter how busy she is, she always finds time to reply to my mails. I am thinking of taking classes from her. Anybody else up? ;)
Note: Not all my mails are worth replying to. Sometimes I write only to ping her. :P

Anyway, here are her answers. (I see a wise woman there.)

A false perception about you?
Many people have unfairly judged me as I have three kids and I am only 32. I had my first baby at 22 but looked very young. Many women would glare at me. It was nasty. I was a grown woman with university degree completed. I was in a long term relationship. I was content. But sadly people assume you have thrown your life away, that you are uneducated. Nonsense. My children are a wonderful gift and I love being a mummy! I have grown up with them. Having kids hasn't slowed me down or ended my life. ;-)
(I bet many of those people will now regret saying 'oh-not-so-good' stuff about you.)

Interesting incident about your childhood?
I saved my little cousin from drowning. She is a year younger. I was about 11. She plummeted to the bottom of the swimming pool. I managed to get her up out the water and pulled her out with the help of a friend with great difficulty. None of the teachers even noticed, thank goodness I was sitting on the side!
(Life-Saviour!  That was very brave! Indeed!)

What would you like to learn?
I would love to learn all about psychology. Human behaviour fascinates me. What makes us tick?

Zodiac sign?
Tauras. Don't mess with a bull.
(Make a mental note of this one please.) :D

How do you spend your free time?
Running my website alanamunroauthor.com, writing, fending off my hungry growing kids with more food! I also do some photography, walk and read.
(Check her website! Highly recommended!)

Your question for me?
What do you look for in a friendship?
(Wow! That's an interesting one. I think all I need from a friend is unconditional love. I do reciprocate of course. In a friendship, one must accept you for who you are. I guess, that covers pretty much everything.)

Question for the wonderful readers?
Ever been hurt by a friend? What happened?
(I'll leave this one to the readers.) :)

Thankyou Alana! It was a pleasure interviewing you. I, for one, was looking forward to your answers. Thankyou for sparing your time in spite of your busy schedule. I hope to work with you again.
Sending your way all my love and best wishes.

Yes, this is a short piece but I'll take the liberty of saying that it's an interesting one. I hope you guys will agree. Yes? :) This is her in the picture below. (Enchanted by her smile?) Show of hands please. Grin I find her a very warm and a beautiful person. Those who have had the privilege of knowing her will nod their heads in agreement. :) (I love your hat Alana!) Please do not forget to check her website. You will not regret clicking the link, trust me. ;)

  1. great interview !! It's good to know that having a family young is never a mistake. I read a book ''Shame'' lately and that's how I realised how tough it can be to be a mother and running to the library to complete assignments. She finished her degree too (When i say she, it is the author of the book, she passed with flying colours)

Undoubtedly, one can achieve what one perceives, if one has set his heart and soul into it. :)
